Director Mukesh Kumar Singh’s upcoming project ‘Kannappa’ will star Akshay Kumar in the movie. The cast has expanded as Akshay Kumar is all set to debut his Telugu movie along with Indian actor and producer Vishnu Manchu.
‘Kannappa’ is a fantasy drama that is based on mythology and about a devotee of Lord Shiva. Earlier, the Kannada superstar DR. Shivraj Kumar was to play the key role in the movie, but as per recent reports, Akshay Kumar will replace him in the project.
The film also stars Manchu Mohan Babu, Mohanlal, Mukesh Rishi, Madhubala, Nayanthara and others. Prabhas will play the role of Lord Shiva in the film. The film is produced by 24 Frames Factory and Ava Entertainment. The music and sound for the film are designed by Stephen Devassy and Manisharma.
The film will be shot in Telugu and will be dubbed in other South Indian languages and Hindi as well. ‘Kannappa’ is shot in Hyderabad and New Zealand.
Entertainment industry tracker Ramesh Bala took to X and shared the information of Akshay Kumar joining the cast of ‘Kannappa.’ He wrote, “Bollywood Superstar @akshaykumar joins the cast of Prestigious Pan-India Biggie – Actor @iVishnuManchu’s Big Budget movie #Kannappa. Akshay Kumar was recently seen in ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ with co-star Tiger Shroff. The film is written & directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Himanshu Kishan Mehra, and Ali Abbas Zafar. Akshay’s first South Indian film was released in 1993 and was titled ‘Vishnu Vijaya.’ Akshay also starred in 2.0, which was his Tamil debut, and now the actor is all set to play in ‘Kannappa.’
