Alia Bhatt Headlining Spy Universe Film, Confirms YRF CEO

Alia Bhatt will join Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Hrithik Roshan in the YRF spy universe with her own movie.

Yash Raj Film CEO Akshaye Widhani said on Tuesday that Alia is headlining a film in the YRF spy universe, and the shooting for the film will begin later this year. The YRF spy universe is an aspiring franchise that sees characters from different crosspaths. Pathan starring Shah Rukh Khan, Tiger starring Salman Khan, and War starring Hrithik Roshan are part of the YRF spy universe.

Widhani called the YRF spy universe “a financial and cultural juggernaut and one of the studio’s most prized IPs,” while speaking at FICCI Frames.

Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh are scheduled to collaborate on the untitled movie. They will appear in the action entertainer as super-agents. 

Starring Roshan, NTR Jr., and Kiara Advani, War 2 is the next installment in YRF’s spy series. The director is going to be Ayan Mukerji. Tiger vs. Pathaan and Pathaan 2 are other upcoming films.

Earlier, a source told Pinkvilla, “This is the twist to the YRF Spy Universe timeline – Pathaan 2 will predate Tiger vs Pathaan and will set up the clash of two cinematic legends on the big screen.” These two blockbusters franchises, Tiger and Pathaan, will clash on the big screen.
