Ananya Pandey is an Indian actress who predominantly works in Hindi films. She is also famous for being the daughter of actor Chunky Pandey. Ananya came into the limelight after she worked on her debut film Student of the Year 2, wherein she played the role of Shreya Randhawa.
Ananya Pandey was born on 30 October 1998 (age 25 years; as of 2023) in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Her father, Chunky Pandey, is a famous actor and Bhavana Pandey, is a costume designer. Additionally, she has a younger sister named Rysa.
Meanwhile, her uncle, Chikki Pandey, is a businessperson and her aunt, Deanne Pandey, is a wellness coach.
Ananya Pandey did her schooling at Dhirubhai Ambani International School, Mumbai. Soon after completing her higher secondary education, she dropped her education owing to her acting career. Additionally, she turned down the University of Southern California for films despite she was accepted.
Ananya Pandey, a budding actress in the Hindi film industry, marked her acting debut in the year 2019 with the film “Student of the Year”. Dharma Productions produced the film featuring Tiger Shroff, Tara Sutaria, and Ananya. However, the movie received criticism for the cast’s lacklustre performances. Later that same year, Ananya appeared in the Bollywood flick “Pati Patni Aur Woh”. The year 2020 saw her playing a lead role in “Khali Peeli”, which unfortunately turned out to be a box office failure. Despite the setback, Ananya continued to hone her acting skills.
Her dedication and hard work were finally recognized in 2022 with the release of “Gehraiyaan”. She starred opposite the versatile Deepika Padukone in the movie, and her acting was lauded by the audience. The film was a commercial success and marked a turning point in Ananya’s career.
Ananya made her debut in the year 2019 with the film Student of the Year 2 which was produced by Dharma Productions.
Soon after Ananya’s appearance in Liger, Ananya started working on the production of Dream Girl. Additionally, she is working on the production of two Hindi films, Kho Gye Hum Kahan and Control.

Meanwhile, she stated in Karan Johar’s show that her father never appeared in Dharma’s production projects. Furthermore, while supporting her statement, she said that it’s not as easy as it seems and everyone has their own struggles. Reacting to it, Siddhant Chaturvedi sarcastically replied, “Their struggle begins where our dreams are fulfilled.”
Soon after the episode aired, Siddhant Chaturvedi earned instant appreciation from fans while Ananya received immense trolling and later she became the subject of memes.
