Better Call Saul recently aired its sixth season and fans have been buzzing to find out if there will be a seventh season. Here’s what we know about the future of the show
Debuted on Netflix on February 8, 2015, Better Call Saul follows the story of Jimmy McGill and his transformation to become a respectable lawyer. Besides, Jimmy McGill better known by the business name Saul Goodman, was a former con artist. A sequel and a spin-off of Gilligan’s previous series, Breaking Bad, the series was set primarily in the early to the first part of the decade of the 2000s in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
After the successful premiere of six seasons, fans are now anticipating a Better Call Saul Season 7. Meanwhile, read more to know about the series renewal.
Unfortunately, Better Call Season 7 won’t be hitting the screens, as per the announcement. With its sixth season making its debut in April 2022, the series’ final episode concluded on August 15, 2022. The decision to cancel season 7 in July 2020 devastated fans. And, since the sixth season premiere, there is no information regarding the same. Meanwhile, despite a spin-off, the series did quite well on the OTT platform.
In Netflix’s history, the majority of the spin-offs got cancelled. However, Better Call Saul made an exceptional history by getting a finale in season 6.
In the finale of the series, we see Saul becoming a convict instead of a lawyer. And, in a media interaction, co-creator Peter Gould mentioned that as Saul played with the justice system, it was the right place to end the series- Saul behind bars.
As the series has already concluded, Better Call Saul Season 7 has not revealed any plot. Nevertheless, if the creators decide to make a spin-off, we can see more of the series.
