Dhanush And Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth Filed Divorce After 18 Years Of Marriage

Director Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth and actor Dhanush announced their separation in the year 2022. As per recent reports, the couple has filed for divorce after two years of separation. They have filed for their divorce at the Chennai family court.

The duo filed the petition under Section 13 B – divorce by mutual consent. The two have been living separately for the past two years. People often spotted them together at their sons, Yatra and Linga’s, school events.

On January 17, 2022, Dhanush took to social media and announced their separation. He wrote, “18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents, and well-wishers to each other. The journey has been one of growth, understanding, adjusting, and adapting. Today, we stand at a place where our paths separate. Aishwaryaa and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better. Please respect our decision and give us the needed privacy to deal with this. Om Namashivaaya! Spread love, D.” 

Dhanush also urged people to respect his decision and provide them with the needed privacy. Aishwaryaa captioned the post and wrote, “No caption needed. Only your understanding and love are necessary.” 

Dhanush and Aishwaryaa got married at an early age—when they were 21 and 23, respectively. Their marriage took place in 2004, and their two sons were born in 2006 and 2010.

Aishwaryaa is the elder daughter of superstar Rajinikanth, she returned to directing after separation and made ‘Lal Salaam.’ Dhanush last appeared in ‘Captain Miller,’ which Prime Video released on February 9. Arun Matheswaran is directing Dhanush’s upcoming project. He has a lineup of upcoming movies that are predicted to be released this year, namely ‘Thiruchitrambalam’ and ‘Naane Varuven.’ He is also making his Hollywood debut with ‘The Gray Man.’
