Diljit Dosanjh Creates History At Packed Vancouver Stadium

Actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh sets a record at Vancouver’s BC Place Stadium, Canada. He marks his place as the first Punjabi artist to perform at the venue. 

Diljit took to social media and shared a glimpse of the concert. He shared a series of photographs and videos from the event and wrote, “HISTORY HAS BEEN WRITTEN, BC PLACE STADIUM SOLD OUT DIL-LUMINATI TOUR. Diljt’s fans flooded the comment section with positive comments and praised him.

The actor-singer actively promotes Punjabi music on global platforms. Diljit has gained immense popularity and love from the audience for his music and acting. 

The official X handle shared a post on social media with a picture in which Diljit can be seen dancing, and they captioned the post and wrote, “HISTORY is made. Take a bow, @diljitdosanjh.”

Diljit Dosanjh performed earlier this month in Mumbai. The concert was a star-studded affair, as Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Ayushmann Khurrana, Tammannaah Bhatia, Vijay Varma, Rajkummar Rao and more attended.

They said Punjabis aren’t fashionable and I said, I will show you. They said Punjabis can’t act in films, I showed them I could. They said Punjabis can’t go to Mumbai, and I proved them wrong. They said Punjabis can’t sell tickets for the BC Place Stadium, I had the stadium packed at my concert. They said Punjabis can’t do Illuminati, I said, I will do ‘Di-Luminati.

Diljit last appeared in ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’ and shared the screen with Parineeti Chopra.  Imtiaz Ali helms the movie. It is a biopic of a popular Punjabi singer whose songs were massive hits in the 1980s. Unknown attackers kill the couple, Amar Singh and his wife Amarjot, played by Parineeti, turning the story tragic. The audience loves the movie, making it a big hit. ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’ is streaming on Netflix.
