The makers of the film recently shared “a darling pic” of Disha and Prabhas on an aircraft as they captured the two Kalki 2898 AD actors in their comfy, cosy attire. They also shared a group picture from their Italy diaries on X that shows Prabhas posing for a photo with the director and the rest of the film’s crew. The caption of the picture read, “Italy lo aata paata. (Song and dance in Italy)” In the picture.
The shoot of the film and post-production are taking place simultaneously to meet the deadline. The shoot of the film is almost complete, but the patchwork scenes remain. Deepika completed her portion of work and has recently announced her pregnancy. Amitabh Bachchan got injured while performing a stunt in the film in March last year and got back on the sets as soon as he recovered. He suffered from a muscle tear and broken rib cartilage. Kamal Haasan joined the team for the film in June last year.
Kalki, 2898 AD, embarks on a journey spanning millennia, from the epic events of the Mahabharata in 3101 BCE to the distant year of 2898 AD. Talking about the film at the Synapse 2024 event in Gurgaon,
The film starts with Mahabharat and ends in 2898 AD. It spans 6,000 years in time. We tried to create worlds, imagining what they would be like while still keeping it Indian and not making it look like Blade Runner. Six thousand years behind 2898 AD is 3101 BCE, which is when the last avatar of Krishna is believed to have passed.
