The Election Commission stated on Friday, March 15, that the schedule for the Lok Sabha elections and some state assemblies will be declared on March 16, 2024.
The announcement of the schedule for the Lok Sabha elections will be made during a press conference at 3 p.m. in Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. The conference will be live streamed on the social media platforms of the poll body.
The release of the Model Code of Conduct will take effect immediately.
On the same day that Gyanesh Kumar and Sukhbir Singh Sandhu, the two recently appointed election commissioners, joined the poll panel, the poll schedule was announced.
