YouTuber and BigBoss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav was arrested by Noida Police on Sunday in connection with arranging snake venom as an enjoyable drug at a party. On Monday, Elvish Yadav confessed that he arranged snakes and snake venom at rave parties organised by him.
Earlier, Elvish Yadav denied his involvement in the snake venom case. He has now admitted during his questioning that he also knew the other accused for supplying snake venom to his party last year.
The five others who were arrested and are now out on bail were identified as Narayan (50), Jaikaran (50), Rahul (32), Ravinath (45), and Teetunath (45), all residents of Mohraband village in southeast Delhi’s Badarpur.
Gurugram-born YouTuber and singer Elvish Yadav got fame in 2023 after taking first place in Salman Khan’s Big Boss OTT 2 reality show. In the snake venom case, Elvish Yadav and five other people were charged with selling snake venom during rave parties in the National Capital Region. On Sunday, the Noida police arrested Yadav.
According to those with knowledge of the situation, Elvish was taken for questioning at Sector 20 police station on Sunday and was given a 14-day court prison sentence. Additionally, Elvish is suspected of using snakes when filming videos.
We have found substantial evidence against Elvish Yadav and his involvement in supplying snake venom.
Noida Police
Yadav and five other people were accused of providing snake venom to a party in Sector 51 of Noida on November 3 of last year. They were charged under the Wildlife (Protection) Act and Section 120 B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code. The incident happened as a result of an approach to the Sector 49 police station by animal welfare activist Gaurav Gupta, who is connected to the non-governmental organisation People For Animals.
