Former cricketer and Delhi MP, Gautam Gambhir, asks BJP President, JP Nadda, to relieve him of political duties on Saturday, March 2. He asked to relive his political responsibilities amid his cricket commitments.
He stated in an X post,
I have requested Hon’ble Party President @JPNadda ji to relieve me of my political duties so that I can focus on my upcoming cricket commitments. I sincerely thank Hon’ble PM @narendramodi ji and Hon’ble HM @AmitShah ji for giving me the opportunity to serve the people. Jai Hind!

However, Gautam did not clarify if he was leaving politics or taking a break to fulfil his cricket commitments. He expressed gratitude towards Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for providing him with the opportunity to serve people.
Gautam Gambhir joined the Bhartiya Janata Party in 2019 before the Lok Sabha elections, defeated AAP from East Delhi Constituency, and secured a margin of 6,95,109 votes.
Gatum Gambhir, a former cricket player and successful commentator who played a significant role in India’s World Cup in 2007 and 2011, is one of the best-known figures in the Indian Premier League, the nation’s premier athletic event.
Gambhir is one of the most influential cricketers in the nation. In 58 test matches, he gathered 4,154 runs at a decent average of 41.96. He averaged 39.68 while scoring 5,238 runs in 147 matches throughout the ODI season. He is now the coach of the Kolkata Knight Riders, the IPL franchise of Shahrukh Khan.
Notably, the IPL is anticipated to begin next month, and Gautam will be busy serving as the mentor of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), a team he led to two IPL titles as a captain.
