The world is getting more and more prone to online UPI-based transactions. While considering UPI transactions, many of us choose Google Pay above any other platform. But with so many transactions online your privacy can be at stake even when using the most secure sites.
Moreover, your lengthy transaction history may hamper your navigation to get to the ones that really matter to you. Don’t worry as you can delete Google Pay transaction history following some simple steps.
Google, being one of the most comprehensive service providers, enables its users to clear Google Pay transactions anytime and anywhere with some verification steps. Whether you are using the Google Pay app on your mobile, PC, or laptop, follow these simple steps and delete those transactions that do not have that much value or are too secretive to reveal.
The Google Pay mobile app is very handy, so you can try deleting payment history in Google Pay using your phone first. For this, you will have to follow the below steps;
Firs of all open the Google Pay app using your fingerprint or the verification pin to let the app know that it is you.
Step 1: Now tap your profile icon there on the top right corner
Step 2: Now scroll a bit down to get to the Settings section
Step 3: Then touch on the “Privacy & Security” section
Step 4: Here, tap on the “Data and Personalisation” section that you will get right at the top
Step 5: Here, you will get the specific term “Google account” with a direct hyperlink to it
[Here, Google will verify you once again for security concerns.]
Step 6: Now, after verifying, scroll a little bit down. There, you will get to the “Payment’s transactions & activity” section. Here you can see the list of all your previous transactions that you made or got through.
Now, as you want to remove payment history on the Google Pay app. You will just have to touch on the cross sign on the right-hand side of the transaction.
The app will give you one last prompt confirming whether you really want to delete that transaction or not. Upon advising “Delete,” it will permanently delete it from your Google Pay transaction history.
Now, say you are having difficulty in deleting payment history in Google Pay using your mobile phone. It may be due to network or storage issues. Also, it can be an equally valid point to operate through your desktop or laptop for more security. Whatever it is, follow these steps to remove Google Pay transaction history using your PC or laptop.
Step 1: Visit your Google Account by touching on the profile icon of yours
Step 2: There get again to the “Payments & Subscriptions” section
Step 3: Here, get to the Payments info section and scroll down to the “Payments Transaction and Activity”
Step 4: Once again, you will see the list of all your Google Pay transactions. You can delete each of them by touching the cross icon just like on your phone
Step 5: To delete in bulk you can touch the Delete option above all. Then, select your desired time frame to delete entire transactions that happened at that time. Don’t worry. This feature is available on your phone, too.
You can delete the Google Pay transaction data of an entire day using the same procedure. You don’t have to touch on each transaction to delete them, however. The transactions are categorically divided according to their dates. In that case, you can delete them by touching the cross sign on the left side of that particular date, simple.
So, to sum up, you can easily get to Google Pay transaction settings. Then, you can manage your Google Pay activity from there anytime you want. But before deleting your Google Pay transactions, ensure that you won’t want them in the future. Because once it is done it is done, you cannot retrieve what is gone.
