Huma Qureshi Returns To Seek Vengeance In Maharani 3

Huma Qureshi is back with an amazing performance in the third season of Maharani. Created by Subhash Kapoor, the events that partly inspired Maharani happened in Bihar after Lalu Prasad Yadav made his wife Rabri Devi his successor in the 1990s.

The series stars Huma as Maharani, also known as Rani Bharti. Along with her, the cast includes Amit Sial, Vineet Kumar, Pramod Pathak, Kani Kusruti, Anuja Sathe, Sushil Pandey, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, and Sohum Shah playing key roles. Saurabh Bhave directs the web series, and Nandan Singh, Umashankar Singh, and Subhash Kapoor make up the writing team.

Sony LIV announced the official trailer for season 3 on Instagram. The platform will release the series on March 7, 2024.

The trailer features Rani Bharti and Naveen Kumar, played by Amit Sial. He jokes with Rani that she should complete her education now that she is in prison. Since she will be there for more than 15 years, she might as well do a Ph.D. too. Rani doesn’t react to the warning and stays silent when the media probes her about her past actions and whether she cares for her children at all.

Later, Rani Bharti gets out of prison on bail and tries her best to get revenge on the men. In the latest season, she is not just a politician struggling to prove she did not murder her husband, but also steps up in her role as a ferocious mother. When someone asks the Maharani whether she wants justice or revenge, she replies that both mean the same thing to her. After the trailer dropped, fans could not contain their excitement.
