Cheer up, One Punch Man fans. The official One Punch Man webpage revealed on August 18th, 2022, that season 3 is under production. Saitama has finally made a comeback. The Monster Association Arc, which took part in several of the fiercest fights, will be the centrepiece of the sequel.
It’s been three years since the end of the second season. Fans will be thrilled to discover that Chikashi Kubota, the official character designer, confirmed season 3 of the anime. However, which studio is going to develop the series is yet to be revealed. With its two seasons, One Punch Man and its dynamic universe have given the audience a wild journey. Only Season 1 was animated by Madhouse. Season 2 and Season 3 are by J.C. Staff to bring ONE and Yusuke Murata’s drawings to life.
While the animator studio hasn’t been officially announced, the official studio has now been confirmed as J.C. Staff, not MAPPA. The account is run by Twitter user Shounen Leaks, who has been known to leak information that has later turned out to be true. The account later got suspended, which left fans in confusion, also indicating that the information was pretty sensitive.
The official One Punch Man account tweeted, addressing the fans regarding the leaks, that this is the only official One Punch Man Twitter handle. Please don’t let unreliable information from other accounts lead you astray. When the moment is right, accurate information will be released through this account.
One Punch Man Season 3 Release Date
The only official information revealed is the state of production. The series is in the early stage of production. The official release date is yet to be announced. Season 3 is confirmed to premiere in October 2025.

One Punch Man Live-Action Film
In June 2022, it was revealed that Sony Pictures had bought the rights to One Punch Man, and a live-action film is in production. It is rumored that Justin Lin, director of The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, is directing the film. Lin will also join the project as a producer and will help rewrite the screenplay. Screenwriters Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner, who wrote the screenplay of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and the sequel Jumanji: The Next Level, are going to write the script.
Arad Production is going to produce the film. The production company is known for producing several comic and video game adaptation films, including Spider-Man: Homecoming, Uncharted, and Ghost in the Shell.
When is One Punch Man season 3 going to be released? We don’t know yet. Fingers crossed. Hope to see Saitama on our screen as soon as possible.
