Pachinko is the story of a Korean family and their four generations, starting from 1915 to 1989. In 1931, Sunja, the main character of the story, leaves her family under Japanese rule in Korea and relocates to Koreatown, Osaka, Japan, to make new beginnings. The series delves into the struggling lives and poor conditions of Korean immigrants facing discrimination in Japanese society.
The series, Pachinko, has been renewed for second season. The streaming partner, Apple TV+, has shared some pictures and given the first look to the audience. It also states the main title of the upcoming season.

An announcement video, or, as we say, teaser, has been released by the distributors or the streaming partners of the series on May 31, 2024. The description of the teaser states, “Across borders and generations, the epic story of hope, anguish, courage, and forbidden love returns. Pachinko Season 2 streaming August 23 on Apple TV+ ” However, an official trailer for the series is still awaited and is likely to be released near the release date in August.
