Superstar Aamir Khan is set to launch a new rendition of his evergreen song ‘Papa Kehte Hain’ from his classic ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’.
Titled ‘Papa Kehte Hain 2.0’, the track will feature in RajKummar Rao starrer ‘Srikanth’. The launch of the song will be graced by Aamir Khan. The trailer for the movie gave a glimpse of the song in a modern-day version. The launch of the song will take place on Monday, April 22, 2024.
The film is directed by Tushar Hiranandani and stars Rajkummar Rao, Alaya F, and Sharad Kelkar in pivotal roles. The movie is a Hindi language biographical based on the life of an Indian industrialist, Srikanth Bolla, who was visually impaired and founded Bollat Industries. The movie is scheduled to release on May 10, 2024.
Bhushan Kumar, a well-known music producer, informed Aamir Khan about the idea of recreating Papa Kehte Hai. Aamir was extremely happy to know that the song is being recreated to celebrate the journey of Srikanth Bolla and is extremely happy to launch the modern-day version of the masterpiece.”

‘Srikanth’ is produced under the banner of T-Series and Chalk N Cheese Productions LLP. It is an inspiring story about a visually impaired industrialist, the founder of Bollant Industries. It employs unskilled and differently-abled individuals. He was born in Hyderabad in 1921 and faced several challenges in his life.
Rajkummar Rao is portraying the character of Srikanth Bolla in the film, and he said in an interview that portraying Srinkanth was quite challenging. The actor used to spend hours in blind schools while preparing himself for the movie. Also, spent a lot of time with Srikanth to understand him and portray his life on the big screen.
