In 2010, Pavail Gulati made his directorial debut with Shahrukh Khan’s starrer film, My Name is Khan; he was an assistant casting director. In the same year, he made his acting debut with the Hindi film Hide & Seek, in which he played Abhimanyu Jaiswal.
Subsequently, in 2017, he worked in the film Ittefaq, wherein he played Chirag. He made a special appearance in the Hindi-language film Kalank (2019); he played Aditya Khanna. In the next year, Pavail worked on two Hindi films, Ghost Stories and Thappad. In 2022, Pavail worked on two mega-OTT films, Dobaaraa and Goodbye. Later, in 2023, he worked in the Hindi film I Love You, opposite Rakul Preet Singh, wherein he played the role of Rakesh “RO” Oberoi.

In 2014, Pavail Gulati made his television debut with the Sony entertainment show Yudh, wherein he played Rishikesh Sikarwar. In 2018, he made his digital debut with the ALTBalaji series Haq Se, wherein he played Tabish “Azi” Azad. Subsequently, in 2019, he worked in Amazon Prime’s Made in Heaven.
