Prison Break follows the story of two brothers named Lincoln Burrows played by Dominic Purcell and Michael Scofield played by Wentworth Miller. Lincoln burrow was convicted of murdering the vice president’s brother and sentenced to death. The story focuses on the relationship and escape of the brothers from prison.
Season 5 of Prison Break was released back in 2017. Since then, the fans have been waiting for the release of season 6. There have been rumours of Prison Break coming back with season 6. Fans are eagerly waiting since the reports came out that season 6 is under making.
In 2009, at the TV Critics Press Tour, former Fox media executive Kevin Reilly told reporters that due to the lack of creativity in writing, the show has been cancelled.
Viewers highly praised the concept and storyline of the series. IMDB rated the series 8.3/10 while Google users rated the series 4.9/5 with a 6300+ rating submission. Rotten Tomatoes rated the series with 61% while Common Sense Media rated it 3/5.
When burrow was falsely convicted of the murder of the vice president’s brother and sentenced to death. His engineer brother planted himself in the same jail with the mission to break his brother from prison. Michael Scofield robbed a bank in order to get arrested and jailed. Behind the bars, they made a plan to flee away from the jail with the help of the connection they made in the prison ward. The story isn’t super complex and intense but fairly enjoyable. It has action, and thrill and has a different take on the prison break plot.

After running for five seasons (2005-2017), the story comes to an end when Michael is reunited with his family, wife Sara, and daughter after seven years of separation. The whole world assumed that he passed away but after all the struggles, he finally made it. With The Hollywood Reporter, Miller discussed the conclusion of the story. He said, “Michael has returned home, but I’m not sure he’s at peace, and he may be haunted for a long time. He may be suffering from anxiety, insomnia, and paranoia”. “Michel’s readjustment to civilian life may certainly serve as a starting point for any future stories,” he added. The story of season 6 may continue from where it ended.
With the release of Season 5, Wentworth Miller confirmed that he is out of the show. He said, “I’m out of PB. Officially,” “He is not static on social media. I just don’t want to play straight characters. Their stories have been told,” Miller added.
Dominic Purcell responded, “It was fun mate. What a ride it was. Fully support and understand your reasoning. Glad you have made this decision for your health and your truth. Keep the posts coming… love ya brother.”
