Rajkummar Rao’s Film SRI Gets New Title And Release Date

Actor Rajkummar Rao is all set to play the real-life story of industrialist Srikanth Bolla in his upcoming film. The film was titled SRI; the movie has been renamed ‘Srikanth – Aa Raha Hai Sabki Aankhein Kholne.’ The release date of the film is also planned.

The film is directed by Tushra Hiranandani, who also helmed ‘Saand Ki Aankh.’ ‘Srikanth’ also stars Alaya F, Jyotika and Sharad Kelkar. The film will mark its release on May 10, 2024, on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya. Earlier, it was supposed to be released on May 17. T-Series took to social media and wrote, “A remarkable journey that will open your eyes! #Srikanth, earlier titled SRI, is releasing on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, 10th May 2024.”

The movie revolves around the journey of Srikanth Bolla, a fearless journalist who followed his dreams despite his visual impairment and is the founder of Bollant Industries. Srikanth was born into a family whose main source of income was farming. He took funding from Ratan Tata and started Bollant Industries in 2012. The company employs people with disabilities and manufactures areca-based products. It focuses on producing products that do not harm the environment, such as eco-friendly recycled paper from municipal waste or solid paper, packaging products from recycled paper, and more.

The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishna Kumar, and Nidhi Parmar Hiranandani under the banners of T-Series Films and Chalk N Cheese Films Production LLP. 

Rajkummar Rao is all set to bring big projects, including Mr and Mrs Mahi which stars Janhvi Kapoor and Abhishek Banerjee. The actor will also play in the ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, which features Triptii Dimri in the lead role. Rajkummar also has ‘Stree 2’ and ‘Bachpan Ka Pyar’ lined up.
