Gunshots were fired on Sunday, April 14, at actor Salman Khan’s residence, Galaxy Apartments in Bandra. The shooters are suspected to be from Gurugram, Haryana.
Police officers stated that according to the CCTV footage, the shooters fired in the air and did not target anyone. It seems like they were trying to create a sense of panic.
Anmol Bishnoi, a wanted murderer of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala in 2022 created a Facebook account and wrote “first and last warning” for the actor. “Henceforth, the bullets will not be fired at the walls or an empty house.” Anmol is suspected to be hiding in Canada.
Last year Salman Khan received death threats from Canada-based granster, Goldy Brar, who stated that the actor was on his gang’s hit list. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) stated that Salman Khan is at the top of the list of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi about the 1998 black buck hunting incident, which offended the Bishnoi community.
Earlier, Mumbai Police filed an FIR against gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar, following an email threatening actor Salman Khan. Back then Salman had a security team and also the actor was granted Y+security after getting death threats from the gangsters.
All Indian Cine Workers Association appealed to Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to pay attention to the actor Salman Khan’s security. It further stated that Salman is recognised worldwide for the contributions he has made. The gunshots are made in the VIP area which raises concerns about the safety and security of the ordinary people especially at the time of elections.
The statement further added that the All Indian Cine Workers Association stands with Salman Khan and his family because he is a part of the family(Bollywood).
