Erica Jennifer Fernandes is an Indian actress and model who primarily works in the Indian television industry. In 2016, she came into the limelight after she played Dr Sonakshi Bose in the television series Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi.
Erica Fernandes was born on May 7 1993 (age 30 years; as of 2023) in Mangalore. Her father, Ralph Fernandes, is a former model and interior designer. Meanwhile, her mother, Lavina Fernandes, has worked with Air India and Bank of America. Besides, she has a brother named Jermaine Fernandes.
Soon after her birth, Erica shifted to Mumbai with her parents. In Mumbai, Erica attended High Cross High School, Kurla and Sies College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Sion. Soon after completing her higher secondary education, she went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts at St. Andrew’s College, Bandra. However, owing to her modelling career, she dropped out.
Erica has been fascinated by modelling since childhood. Soon after completing her higher secondary education, she started receiving modelling assignments owing to which she left her Bachelor’s midway.
Erica won several pageants including Bombay Times Fresh Face, Pantaloons Femina Miss Maharashtra, and Pantaloons Femina Miss Fresh Face 2011.
In 2013, Erica made her acting debut with the Tamil film Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu in which she played the role of Manjari. Subsequently, in 2014, she appeared in five films including Ninnindale, Babloo Happy Hai, Virattu, Galipatam, and Dega. In 2015, she
Worked in the film Buguri in which she played the role of Ishanya.
In 2013, Erica made her television debut with Disney’s show The Suite Life of Karan & Kabir. In 2016, she appeared in Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi, wherein he played Dr.Sonakshi Bose.
Meanwhile, in 2016, she made her reality show debut with the comedy game show series Khatra Khatra Khatra. In 2018, she worked in Kasautii Zindagii Kay in which she played the role of Prerna Sharma. In 2021, she appeared in Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi: Nayi Kahani, wherein she played Dr. Sonakshi Bose.
