Pichai Sundararajan, better known as Sundar Pichai, is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Alphabet Inc. and its subsidiary company, Google LLC. Pichai became CEO of Google on 10 August 2015. Before that, he was appointed Product Chief by the founder and ex-CEO Larry Page.
Sundar Pichai was born on 10 June 1972 in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India to Regunatha Pichai and Lakshmi Pichai. Pichai is among the highest-paid executives in the world.
Pichai’s father was not financially able to send him abroad for higher studies. He managed to earn a scholarship to Stanford University, where he studied materials science and engineering at Stanford University. His father somehow managed to collect $1000 for his travel and other expenses.
Before joining Google in 2004, Pichai worked at McKinsey & Company as a management consultant.
Sundar Pichai’s wife Anjali was his classmate at IIT Kharagpur. Despite years of long-distance, the couple eventually got married.

Sundar Pichai’s father, Regunatha Pichai was an electrical engineer at GEC, a British conglomerate. His mother Lakshmi Pichai was a stenographer. His father also had an electrical components manufacturing plant. His younger brother’s name is Srinivasan Pichai.
On 19 December 2003, he married Anjali Pichai. The couple has two kids, a son Kiran Pichai, and a daughter Kavya Pichai. Anjali Pichai is a chemical engineer working as a Business Operations Manager at Intuit, a software company.
