Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, who played the role of Roshan Singh Sodhi in one of the most popular TV shows, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, won the case of sexual harassment against Asit Modi.
Jennifer accused Asit Modi, the producer of the show, of harassing her sexually, and she also filed an FIR for the same. Asit Modi has been ordered to pay Jennifer Mistry to clear the dues.
Yes, it’s correct that order is passed by a local committee in my favour after police completely neglected my complaint. But it’s been over 40 days since the order was passed by the committee on 15th February still he (Asit Modi) has not paid me so I am planning to move to HC.

The actress further added that “the amount passed by the committee is too low for the trauma I faced in the last year. So I would appeal to HC in some days.” Jennifer was asked not to share the details with the media, and she also mentioned that she would be getting her dues with 10% interest and an additional Rs 5 lakh.
Jennifer stated that the local committee ordered her the due amount, which she feels is deserved by her. The allegations she imposed on Asit Modi were not fake. She added, “I’m glad my harassment was recognised, I don’t feel I’ve received proper justice yet.”
In 2023, an FIR was filed against Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah producer Asit Modi, operation head Sohail Ramani, and executive producer Jatin Bajaj. They were accused of sexually harassing Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, and she reported multiple incidents where Asit tried to flirt with her and asked for sexual advances.
Jennifer also revealed in several interviews the toxicity she and her co-actors faced at the sets of TMKOC and felt exploited.
