Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has added yet another significant milestone to her list.
Her song ‘Deewani Mastani’ from the 2015 Bollywood film Bajirao Mastani was featured on the official page of The Academy.
The Instagram account of The Academy posted a clip of the song where Deepika is seen dancing gracefully. The caption of the post reads, “Deepika Padukone performing “Deewani Mastani” (sung by Shreya Ghoshal) from the movie ‘Bajirao Mastani.’ Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra Jonas.”
Meanwhile, Deepika’s husband, Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh, is often seen praising his wife publicly. Adding to the appreciation for the actress, Ranveer wrote, “Mesmeric!”
The post also shocked Padukone’s fans, who later filled the comment section with love and warm wishes. Users also commented about the value of the song receiving praise from The Academy.
A comment read, “Now The Academy is finally giving the recognition that Bollywood deserves.”
Another user wrote, “Thank you for recognising the most beautifully shot song of all time.”
It was not long ago that Deepika was one of the presenters at the Oscars. She introduced the Oscar award-winning song ‘Naatu Naatu’ from ‘RRR’ at the 95th Academy Awards in March 2023.
Notably, Naatu Naatu’s Oscar success was a proud moment for all the Indians, as it was the first ever Telugu song to be nominated and performed at The Academy Awards and win the same.
In February this year, she was also one of the presenters at the BAFTA 2024 Awards.
She was last seen on screens in ‘Fighter,’ where she co-starred with Hrithik Roshan.
Meanwhile, Deepika and her husband, Ranveer, are expecting their first child in September of this year. The couple shared the good news through an Instagram post earlier this year.
