The foundation stone of this statue was laid by Chief Minister of Telangana K. Chandrasekhar Rao on the occasion of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s 125th birth anniversary. The entire cost of the monument was around Rs 146.5 crore.

The Statue of Social Justice, or Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Smriti Vanam, is a 125-foot (38 metre) tall statue that is also known as the fourth tallest statue in India. It is located in Swarajya Maidanam, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. The Statue of Social Justice is dedicated to the father of the Indian constitution, DR. B.R. Ambedkar. He was a social reformer and made significant contributions to society and the nation. This statue costs around Rs. 404.35 crore and was inaugurated on January 19, 2024.

8. Thiruvalluvar Statue (Tamil Nadu)

It is located near the town of Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu. It is 133 feet tall (41 metres) and is known to be the statue of the Tamil poet and philosopher Valluvar, known as Thiruvalluvar. He is the author of Thirukkural, an ancient Tamil work on Dharma and morality. The statue was unveiled in 2000 and symbolised Thiruvalluavar’s contribution to Tamil language, philosophy and literature.

7. Hanuman Statue (Andhra Pradesh)

It is located near Paritala Anjaneya Temple in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, dedicated to Lord Hanuman. The height of the statue is 135 feet (41 m), and it was installed in 2003. This beautiful monument is white in colour; it is a standing statue and the second tallest Hanuman statue in India.

The Panchmukhi Hanuman Statue is 49 m (161 feet) tall and was inaugurated on the auspicious occasion of Rama Navami, a Hindu festival that celebrates the birth of Lord Rama. The statue was inaugurated by Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai in the Bidanagere Basaveshwara Mutt. It is a monument dedicated to Lord Hanuman that has 5 faces.

3. Statue Of Equality (Telangana)

The Statue of Equality is a statue dedicated to the Indian philosopher, Ramanuja. It costs around Rs. 1,000 crore and is located in Muchintal, Ranga Reddy district, on the outskirts of Hyderabad. DNV Prasad Sthapathi was the chief architect for the project. It is 66 metres (216 feet) tall and was inaugurated on February 5, 2022. The foundation stone for the statue was laid by Chinna Jeeyar, an Indian religious guru.

The Statue of Belief is dedicated to the Hindu god Lord Shiva. It was sculpted by Murtikar Naresh Kumawat and is located in Nathdwara, Rajasthan. The statue is 112 metres (369 feet) tall and can be witnessed with the naked eye from 20 km away.

The Statue of Unity is the world’s tallest statue; it is 182 metres (597 feet) tall and located in Kevadia, Gujarat. It is a statue of the former deputy prime minister and home minister of India, Sardar Vallabbhai Patel. The Statue of Unity was designed by Indian sculptor Ram V. Sutar and cost around Rs 27 billion. This piece of art was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 31, 2018, also remembered as the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The construction of this statue was done by the Indian company Larsen & Toubro.
