Taj: Divided by Blood is an Indian drama series. This period drama is produced by Contiloe Pictures and released on ZEE5. Its first season came on ZEE5 on March 3, 2023, with the season, Taj: Reign of Revenge, out on May 12, 2023. The series, Taj: Divided by Blood, revolves around the story of Mughal Emperor Akbar and the war for the throne between his sons, Salim, Murad, and Daniyal. Set in the 16th century, the story captures a battle for leadership, along with politics, poetry, and romance portrayed in a captivating way. It emphasizes each character and their mindset, along with the beauty and brutality of the Mughal dynasty.

The second season mainly focuses on Salim’s life and his turning into the enemy of the Mughals. He seeks to sit on the throne and encounters many enemies and some allies, like his love interest, Meherunnissa. Though many movies and series have already been made on the same topic, this title remains one of the most comprehensive to date. It is unclear how much of the story is true; however, the makers have tried their best to inculcate the fuel and juice of the Mughal dynasty. Moreover, the storyline looks complete and does not leave the audience on a boring cliffhanger at all. The narrative describes the personalities of all the characters individually, showcasing their plausible acting. Overall, the series is consistent and keeps the viewers hooked through all the episodes.

Will there be Taj Season 3?

Over the last few years, we have been receiving really well-deserved Indian series. Taj is a web series that takes us back to the Mughal era and shows us the complexities among the emperor Akbar’s family. His sons fight amongst themselves for their father’s throne. The series was much appreciated by the critics, and it will likely return for season 3 very soon.

It also features Sauraseni Maitra as Mehrunnisa, Rahul Bose as Mirza Muhammad Hakim, Zarina Wahab as Salima Sultan Begum, and Sandhya Mridul as Jodha Bai. Moreover, it casts Aaryama Salim as Young Akbar, Shubham Kumar Mehra as Daniyal Mirza, Pankaj Saraswat as Abu’l-Fazl ibn Mubarak, Digambar Prasad as Man Singh I, and Mitansh Lulla as Shah Jahan.

As of right now, there is no trailer for the third season of Taj. Viewers are also excited for the trailer to get a sneak peek at the plot for this season. The plot is expected to pick up the love story of Salim and Anarkali, which will eventually lead to a clash as this relationship defies Akbar’s decisions.
