Wise Man’s Grandchild (賢者の孫, Kenja no Mago) is a light novel from Japan. It was written by Tsuyoshi Yoshioka and illustrated by Seiji Kikuchi. This renowned light novel series started its online serialization on the user-generated novel publishing platform Shōsetsuka ni Narō in January 2015. After achieving immense success, it was announced at the beginning of episode 311 that November 2022 would be its last month posted on Shōsetsuka ni Narō. Following such brilliant acclaim, Enterbrain acquired the series and has since published seventeen volumes under their Famitsu Bunko imprint since July 2015.
In March 2016, Kadokawa Shoten’s Young Ace Up website made a manga adaptation of the series. Shunsuke Ogata took care of the illustration for the manga. Over the course of time, these adaptations have been collected in an impressive twenty-one tankōbon volumes.
The Wise Man’s Grandchild light novel is still in progress and its ending is nowhere near. The manga of Kenja no Mago adaptation released its latest published volume on September 30th, 2021.
